The spider dress is equipped with an Intel Edison chip utilizing biosignals for protection—an intuitive system leveraging biofeedback. This innovative ensemble has the capacity to not only record the user's movements but also monitor their mental state.
Featuring multiple sensors tracking wearer proximity and stress levels, the dress dynamically responds to its surroundings. Approach too aggressively, and the mechanical limbs assume an attack position. Approach calmly, and the dress may extend welcoming gestures, beckoning you closer with fluid, suggestive movements.
Upon closer inspection, the dress reveals a captivating contrast. While it may initially appear as a high-tech, almost soulless creation, intricate "braided" details and delicate elements unveil its artistic essence. The exoskeleton-type dress was digitally crafted in collaboration with Philip Wilck and Utopia Blu, making its debut at the 2015 CES in Las Vegas.
