' ...If people across the entire Internet collaborated on a dress design, would it be threads worthy of Fashion Week? We're going to find out soon: Anouk Wipprecht—the futuristic clothing designer, known for her robotic spider leg dress and a 3D printed electric chain mail outfit—is inviting anyone with an ethernet cable to contribute towards creating the world's first open-source, 3D-printed dress...' The Creators Project

UTOPIA blu's contribution to Anouk Wipprecht's 3D printed Particle Dress !

Every contributor for this open-source dress provided a design for one tile - so we decided for a study based on Ernst Haeckel's - Kunstformen der Natur (Art Forms in Nature). The hexagonal shape is a transformation of Haeckels visualisation of a pentagonal 'Blastoidea' which is a extinct type of stemmed echinoderm.
